The coarse side tackles the work that matters most — breaking down thick calluses, rough patches, and hardened skin on heels, soles, and the balls of the feet where pressure accumulates over time. Once the bulk of the hard skin has been addressed, the fine side smooths and refines the surface, leaving feet genuinely soft rather than simply less rough. Used in sequence, the two surfaces deliver a complete result that a single-grade file simply cannot match.
Regular use — once or twice a week — prevents the gradual build-up of hard skin from becoming the kind of thick, painful callusing that is far harder to address. Prevention, as ever, is considerably easier than the cure.
The handle is designed for a comfortable, secure grip — substantial enough to apply confident pressure without slipping, balanced enough to use without fatigue. The rope hook keeps it hanging neatly in the shower or bathroom between uses, allowing it to air-dry properly and stay hygienic. A considered detail that extends the life of the file and keeps it ready to use.
Soak feet in warm water for 5–10 minutes to soften the skin, then dry thoroughly. Begin with the coarse side, working in gentle circular motions across calluses and hard skin areas — heels, soles, and the balls of the feet. Follow with the fine side to smooth and finish. Rinse feet, then apply a natural moisturiser or body oil to freshly filed skin for best results. Rinse the file after each use and hang to dry. Use one to two times per week.

We take a great deal of love and care in packing all your orders, We use packaging that is only biodegradable / recycled card / paper based and paper tape ( that can all go in your kerbside recycling box ), we avoid the use of plastic at every opportunity.
Gift Sets are packaged in their own boxes, so for example if you order multiple sets they will have their own box and then placed in one big box.
Natural soap products we sell are without packaging and by their nature very soft, and we try and protect each one as much as possible using paper and cardboard wrapping materials that can all be recycled, you may find some slight marks through travel which does not effect the use of the soap, its just part of their rustic charm !
We also avoid as far as possible to avoid "high gloss" packaging, that we know cannot actually be recycled widely.
